Union: Russia may raise grain exports 32% in December
MOSCOW, Dec 7 (PRIME) -- Russia may raise grain exports outside the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) states in December by 32.4% on the year to 4.5 million tonnes, Director of the Russian Union of Grain Exporters Eduard Zernin said on Wednesday.
"After the situation with hidden sanctions has been made public, and the global community intervened, the situation with exports of Russian grain has stabilized a bit,” he said.
“We think that we will export about 4.5 million tonnes of grain outside the EAEU in December after 3.4 million tonnes a year ago."
Potential deterioration of the situation with banking payments as a result of sanctions extension and new kinds of discrimination are listed as the key risks in the second half of the grain export season, the official said.
